72' Fastback
This was my 1972 Mustang 2+2 Fastback bracket drag car. I sold it in June of 2000 with plans to move on to something else. I had a lot of fun in this car and it will be missed but I want to enter the world of street cars again so the fun can be had anytime and not just at the track.
Check out that air!!! Here you can see the 3 inch mufflers that are bolted to the headers and the 1/2 fuel line in the wheel well. Hard to see in this picture is the ram air hood, I snagged it after the car was purchased and added it to make it look even more like a Mach 1 not to mention help out with feeding air to the motor. :)
Here is a pic of the aluminum dash in the car. Here you can see the delay box as well as the Autometer monster tachometer and quick release trans brake button.. No that windshield wasn't always cracked, that happened from those low 1.7 60 ft. time launches. :)
I think that the aluminum interior adds a nice touch. And here's the engine (351C), it featured a Crane Hi-Intensity cam with 288 duration and .519 inch lift, Crane roller rockers, Edelbrock Performer intake and a Holley 750 double pumper, also in this picture you can see the braided line fuel system and internally regulated 95 amp alternator.
Here's some decent shots of the interior. The shifter is a B&M Pro Ratchet the steering wheel is a Grant. All the aluminum in the car was custom made by a friend.
$40 swap meet fuel cell and one rear mounted battery. It is set up for two batteries but when one went dead I was too cheap to replace it.
